What is Schwifty?
Schwifty (schwifty.party) is a free, browser-based interactive Spotify party jukebox — a digital party jukebox and social crowd companion for collaborative Spotify playlists. The host logs in with Spotify Premium, creates a party and shares a QR code or join link. Guests open it in any browser, pick an emoji avatar, add songs to the shared queue and upvote what plays next — with no app installation and no Spotify account required for guests.
Schwifty is a modern, actively maintained alternative to Festify (festify.rocks) and Spotify Jam. Unlike Spotify Jam, guests don't need the Spotify app or their own account — and unlike Festify's passive anonymous queue, Schwifty adds real-time gamification: Mystery DJ reveals, live emoji reactions, a Crowd Hype Meter with synchronized confetti, on-screen shoutouts and song dedications, a live party leaderboard and a shareable Party Wrapped recap. It is built for house parties, weddings, birthdays, barbecues, student parties and any event where the crowd should decide the music.
